I'm Gonna Shine

This has gotten to be one of my favorite songs from the band I’ve been following around. Not just a groupie, I’m more like a roadie and back up dancer. I soon hope to call these guys friends as well. Chela and Georgetown have such great potential to be the next biggest thing, and that’s what Lynval is always announcing whenever he introduces the lead singer Chela to a crowd.
I love this song because of its message. It’s about going out and dancing for the fun of it. There’s nothing about getting drunk enough to take the floor or of looking for someone to hook up with. In fact right it the lyrics it says she’s just looking to have some fun. She doesn’t care if the guy she’s dancing with has a girlfriend because that’s not what she’s after.
This song has already played on c89.5 fm, but it was an early version before Georgetown was assembled. I was so use to the way they perform the song now that when I heard her promotional version of it, I hated it! It showed nothing of her vocal talent and it just seemed so busy with the nightclub noise in the background. A pale comparison to the one she belts out at present.
