Doing the Best That I Can

After that last posting this song immediately came to mind. I love this band so much, even though I was disappointed with their second album. I can still absorb every nuance of their first and hope I can achieve something like it when I do get my own project together someday.
I think it’s a great song about making the conscious decision to move on even when you are so mixed up mentally about everything. You don’t know how things got to where they are, to the point that you have to leave, and you just don’t know how you feel about it, but you know you have to go.
More and more I’m finding out what I’ve been missing. I’ve been missing some pretty important things that I’ve put aside because the person I loved at the time couldn’t give them to me. I’ve been so worried that I’m too caught up in my ex to see beyond simply trying to replace him. That’s no longer my worry. My eyes are open and I’m moving forward… doing the best that I can.
